Welcome to Year 3!

We are looking forward to a busy, exciting and successful year of learning, filled with new experiences, exciting challenges and plenty of opportunities to grow, explore and achieve.

Our week includes daily literacy and numeracy sessions, inquiry-based learning, reading activities, and opportunities to develop skills across the Curriculum for Wales.

PE lessons take place on:

• Wednesday (outdoors)
• Thursday (indoors)

Please ensure your child has the appropriate PE kit on these days.

In Mathematics, children take part in daily CLIC sessions, practical learning activities and weekly assessments. Our language lessons focus on reading, spelling, phonics, and developing writing skills through both Welsh and English activities.

Our Humanities Inquiry focus this term will be exploring the past, present and future, helping children to develop their understanding of how the world around them has changed over time and how it may continue to change in the future.

Homework may include reading, spelling and Big Maths activities. Regular reading at home is one of the most valuable ways you can support your child's progress and confidence in learning.

We use ClassDojo as our main method of communication, alongside the school Instagram page and newsletter, to keep families informed about learning and school events.
