Y Cwtch – Supporting Every Learner

Y Cwtch is our small-class provision designed to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs who benefit from extra support.

Since its establishment in 2019, Y Cwtch has grown and adapted to meet the needs of our learners, and the class now shares the Caban with Dosbarth Enfys, our second small class.

The class supports up to 12 pupils with the help of two dedicated members of staff.

Pupils attend Y Cwtch every morning and then join their mainstream classes with adult support in the afternoon. This ensures a balance between specialist support and full participation in school life.

Every child follows a bespoke programme for literacy and numeracy, with short activities alongside adult-led tasks that are tailored to the individual learning needs of each pupil.
