Tedi our school dog

Tedi is our friendly school dog.

Tedi is a 4-year-old Cavapoo who joined us in September 2021, when he was just 6 months old. Tedi works part-time and spends his days in Y Cwtch and Enfys in Y Caban. He loves playing on the school playground with pupils during playtime and enjoys cwtching up to listen to a good story.

Did you know?
Tedi was named by the pupils! The children in Y Cwtch chose the name and then campaigned for it to win. After a whole-school vote, Tedi came out on top, with Smot a very close second.

Timetable

Tedi has a special timetable to keep him — and everyone at Ysgol Coed y Gof — safe and happy. His day includes:

  • Spending time in the classroom with pupils

  • Being available during playtime and lunchtime for those who need a quiet break from the yard

  • Going for walks at set times

  • Having time in his crate for rest and alone time

Rules

When Tedi is in school, pupils follow special rules to keep him happy and safe:

  • No running after Tedi

  • If Tedi is in his crate, he must not be disturbed

  • No feeding Tedi

  • No taking his toys or teasing him

Please also follow the signs on the doors:

  • Red poster = Tedi needs quiet time – please do not disturb

  • Green poster = You can come and say hello!
