Language - We will be studying Welsh and English on alternate fortnights and will be looking at different genres. During lessons we will be concentrating on improving grammar, spelling and the use of correct sentence structure in oral and written language. We will also focus on improving written work by encouraging the use of good adjectives and comparisons. Every Thursday there will be a Big Write session where the pupils will have ¾ of an hour to write an extended piece under relaxing and comfortable conditions.

Mathematics – We will be developing various ‘Big Maths’ strategies for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, units of measurement including time, properties of 2-D and 3-D shapes and introduction of fractions and the decimal place. Please support your children in learning their times tables and learning to tell the time, digital and analogue. We will concentrate on the 4 Times Table during this term.
